Farmchop sells live animals (goats and other livestock) and related farm services (including on-farm slaughter, processing coordination, and delivery where applicable).
Because of the nature of live animals and food-related services, all sales are subject to strict conditions as outlined below.
All live animal sales are FINAL once payment is received.

Once a customer completes payment, the animal is reserved exclusively for that customer.

Live animals cannot be returned or exchanged.

3. Deposits & Advance Payments

Any deposit or full payment made to reserve a live animal is non-refundable.

Deposits are used immediately to secure livestock, transportation, and scheduling.
4. Weight & Size Variations

All weights and sizes listed on the website are estimates only.

Natural variation occurs in live animals.

No refunds or price adjustments will be issued for normal weight variation within the stated range.
5. Slaughter & Processing Services
If you request on-farm slaughter or processing services:

These services are provided under Alberta’s On-Farm Slaughter Operation (OFSO) framework.

Meat from on-farm slaughter is uninspected and provided only to the animal’s owner for personal use.

Once slaughter or processing has begun, no refunds are available.
6. Cancellations

Orders cannot be cancelled once payment is received.

If Farmchop is unable to fulfill an order due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. animal illness, injury, or force majeure), Farmchop may, at its discretion:

Offer a replacement animal, or
-
Provide a refund for the animal portion of the order.

This determination is made solely by Farmchop.
7. Delivery & Pickup Issues

Customers are responsible for being available at the agreed pickup or delivery time.

Missed pickups or refused deliveries do not qualify for refunds.

Additional storage, rescheduling, or handling fees may apply.
8. Errors or Issues on Our Part
If there is a verified error by Farmchop (e.g. wrong animal provided, duplicate charge):

Please contact us within 24 hours of pickup or delivery.

Verified errors will be resolved promptly through replacement, correction, or refund where appropriate.

This Pickup & Delivery Policy explains how orders are collected or transported from Farmchop and the responsibilities of both Farmchop and the customer.
1. Pickup Options
Farmchop offers pickup by appointment from our farm or designated pickup location.

2. Third-Party Pickup (Uber, Courier, or Personal Driver)
Customers may choose to arrange their own third-party pickup, including:

Important Conditions:

The customer is fully responsible for arranging and paying for the driver.

3. Pickup Confirmation Process
